Sara’s academic qualifications and professional record have mainly focused on international affairs and defence. She obtained a BA in Political Science and International Relations from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore of Milan, and an MA in International Relations from LUISS Guido Carli University of Rome. She also completed the ErasmusPlus Programme at the Lauder School of Government, Diplomacy and Strategy within the @IDC Herzliya in Israel, and the Intensive English Communication Programme (IECP) at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA).
Her key career experiences include her time at: NATO Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium; NATO Allied Command Transformation - Strategic Plans and Policy, Defence Planning - in Norfolk, USA; Embassy of Italy – Press and Public Affairs Office - in Washington DC, USA; Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Italy - Directorate General for Global Affairs, Central Department for Sub-Saharan Africa - in Rome, Italy; International Institute for Counter-Terrorism in Herzliya, Israel.
Due to this background, she has been deeply exposed to a fast-paced, diplomatic and multilateral operating environment, where she has been responsible for drafting reports and briefing materials on defence and security issues for high-ranking officials.
