Danielle Murad Waiss is a dual citizen of Mexico and Canada. She will be graduating from Northeastern University with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Affairs with a concentration in Security Studies. She has studied, interned and worked in international government and non-governmental organizations in 11 countries including the UK Parliament, the NATO Defense College in Rome, the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism (ICT) in Israel and the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

She has conducted research on disaster recovery in Japan, terrorism in Israel as well as the future of global governance at the United Nations in Geneva. Her current research focuses on public resilience as a means of countering the fear of terrorism.
