
Francesco Bergoglio Errico obtained his BA in Geographical Science from the University of Genoa. He later earned his MA in Cultural Anthropology and Ethnology at Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna. Francesco also holds a postgraduate specialization in Geopolitics and Global Security from the University of Rome "Sapienza" and others specific courses on the topic of Radicalisation and Terrorism. Francesco worked as Analyst of Emerging Challenges and External Relations Officer for NATO Defense College Foundation and he was Academic Tutor for the SIOI UNAssociation in Rome. Currently, he is Deputy-Coordinator of the Criminologists Group Volunteer and Anthropologist at Casa Circondariale N.C. “Raffaele Cinotti” - Rebibbia Prison, in Rome. He is Member of the European Expert Network on Terrorism Issues – BKA, Writer for European Eye on Radicalization, Analyst for Islamic Theology for Counter Terrorism, Lecturer of Anthropology and Radicalization for training courses for the armed forces, Senior Research Analyst at International Counter-Terrorism Youth Network and Reseacher for European Foundation for Democracy. Francesco’s academic interests include International Security, Terrorism, Salafism, Radicalisation and Jihadism in Europe.
